With his sparkling scales, the rainbow fish was the most beautiful fish in the ocean. All the other fish wanted one of his lovely scales but he wouldn't share. So all the fish decide they no longer want to be his friend. The wise old octopus teaches him about sharing and encourages him to give one scale to each of his friends. When he does they forgive him and they are friends once again.
